Case Study 1 - Integrated Outbound and Inbound SMS

This niche Real Estate Software Company had a requirement to add SMS functionality to their software solution. The users of their product needed to able to contact tenants, suppliers and prospects via SMS for rental reminders, property maintenance, house sales etc.

Requirement 1 – Connectivity to Prodocom and Outbound Individual SMS Delivery
The SMS user interface had been written and they now needed an SMS supplier to deliver and report on the messages.

Prodocom were able to offer a number of options by which messages could be transported from client site to Prodocom and on to the mobile network. HTTP posting was selected as the chosen method and the client was able to easily work with the Prodocom HTTP script. Once messages are delivered to Prodocom they are immediately processed and forwarded to the mobile network for delivery. Full reporting is provided for all messages.
Requirement 2 – Inbound SMS
Clients of the same software vendor wanted recipients of their SMS messages to be able to reply to that message and for the reply to be delivered to the email inbox of relevant staff members.

Prodocom host a batch of inbound SMS numbers which are used as headers, or "sent from" numbers by the client when a message is sent out. If a message is replied to it simply comes back into the Prodocom system and is forwarded on to the relevant email address.

Case Study 2 – SMS Broadcast

A leading exhibition and event organiser needed to send out SMS messages to pre registered event delegates to remind them of the event. They required access to the service from the office, or remotely on site.

The Prodocom web based SMS service was selected by the client due to its ease of use, high speed delivery, flexibility, competitive pricing and the excellent support model Prodocom were able to demonstrate.

Case Study 3 – SMS Competition

A Sydney based marketing company working with a global vendor had a requirement to attract visitors to their stand at a marketing event. They decided to run regular SMS competitions during each day to keep the stand in the minds of visitors and drive traffic to the stand.

Prodocom were able to provide a web based interface and an inbound SMS number to collect competition entries and the Prodocom gaming and racing approved random selection engine selected regular winners, which in turn were sent via SMS to the client representatives at the event.
